Ulta Haul

Hello and happy Thursday!

A few days ago I made a little visit to Ulta Beauty.  If you haven't been to the store it is an absolute joy because there is such a variety of things there.  They have all the drug store makeup brands all the way up to your high end brands.  Honestly every time I wind up in the store I spend hours in there, and I even look at the higher end brands but I always seem to go back to the NYX brand.

Enough of my babbling and on to what I bought!

Starting at the top with the little pot is NYX Concealer in Fair which retails for $4.99.  It is a full coverage concealer that is supposed to be light weight and crease free.  I have been using it for the last couple days just on my blemishes and it has a really nice coverage for me.

The next item is NYX Blush in Peach retail $5.99.  Now I am going to say I was looking for a blush that would be a little pink, I really don't know why they named this one Peach because (to me) pink does not equal peach.  When I got home this was the first thing that got opened and when I swatched it with my finger I got scared, it was just so so pink! But I decided to use it anyway and I put it on with the smaller blush brush I have and it was so pink on my cheeks too.  The next morning I used a larger, fluffier brush on it and things turned out just fine.

This is the picture of the swatch of the blush just using my finger, in my opinion the color pay off is great.

The brush to the left (with the brown bristles) is the more fluffy brush that I use for blushes that are very pigmented, and the one on the left is an e.l.f. Blush Brush that I purchased at Target for $3.

Next is NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in Blonde retail $5.99.  This is the first eyebrow powder I have ever purchased, so I can't really compare to others.  But one thing I like about it is how the palette comes with gel, and two brushes. The small angled brush that is included in the palette I use for the gel, the spiral brush I use to tame my beast eyebrows (I really need to take the time to fix them), and I use the brow brush that I got the same day (in the group of purple brushes).

The lipstick in the picture is NYX Matte Lipstick in Perfect Red retail $5.99.  I previously purchased two other colors from this collection called Nude and Tea Rose.  I find myself reaching for the Tea Rose color quite often.  I have found that it wears quite well, and stays on for quite a while, and I really love the matte color of it just because I tend to get rater oily as the day wears on, and if I wound up with shine everywhere that would just look bad (am I right or am I right?!).

From top to bottom:  Perfect Red, Tea Rose, Nude.

Top: Clinique Chubby Stick in Pudgy Peony, Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain in Honey
Lipsticks left to right: Nude, Tea Rose, Perfect Red

The next item I purchased was Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in the color Honey retail $8.99.  I have been wanting to try this item for a long time because for Christmas my sister sent me the Clinique Chubby Stick in Pudgy Peony and I found that I loved this concept.  Extremely easy to put on, it feels nice and it wears well.  The Revlon Just Bitten formula is a great product as well.  In my opinion it goes on just the same as the Clinique version.

Top to bottom: Pudgy Peony, Honey

The last items purchased was a set of eye brushes from Real Techniques for $17.99.

Ya'll have a great night!
