Wearable Fall Makeup

by - September 20, 2014

Happy Saturday everyone!

As promised I am bringing you a simple Fall makeup look that you can wear every day.  I decided to pair a simple neutral eye look with a red lip that I find myself reaching for every time the weather turns cooler.

As you can see in the top left picture I started off with my basic foundation routine.  For this look I started by using my Formula 10.0.6 Seriously Shine Free Moisturizer followed by the CoverGirl Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 foundation in 810 Classic Ivory applied using the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.  After that I took the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer in Light/Pale and applied under my eyes and the Almay Clear Complexion concealer in Light on any blemishes.  I blended the two concealers in using a damp Beauty Blender before I set my under eyes using my mixed powder and set my entire face with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in creamy natural.

The mixed loose powder that I have referred to a few times is in the above picture.  It is one container of the Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder in naturally neutral mixed with about 1/4 container of the LA Colors loose powder in light.  I picked mine up at my local Dollar General.  The LA Colors powder is entirely too yellow based for me so I toned it down by mixing the two together.  Typically I only use this powder to set my under eye concealer since it is more yellow based and it helps to correct my dark circles.

Let's move on to the eyes shall we?  I started by using the Urban Decay Primer Potion in original to prime my eyes.  After that I busted out my Lorac Pro 1 palette and used the shade Mauve on the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease brush and used it as my transition shade.  After that I took the shade Sable on the E.L.F. Blending brush and placed it in my crease mainly focusing on the outer half of my eye and bringing it down to the outer edge.  After that I used the NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Loose Pearl Powder in Nude on my lid just using my finger.  I took more of the Mauve shade from the Lorac Pro 1 palette on the E.L.F. Smudge brush and ran it along my lower lash line before I moved on to my brows.

For my brows I used the NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in blonde by first rubbing the gel on my brows then taking the lighter shade on an angled brush and focusing it on the front part of my brows.  After that I took the darker shade and focused it on the outer half then blended them together using the spoolie that comes in the product.  For the brow highlight I used the Cream shade from the Lorac Pro 1 palette.

As for liner I kept it simple and used the Jordana 12 Hour Made to Last Liquid Liner pencil in black and ran it along my upper and lower waterlines as well as my lash line.  I smudged it out a little using the Black shade from the Lorac Pro 1 palette and used the L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara on the top and bottom lashes.

Finally on to the really fun part the red lips I reach for in the Fall!  Now I know the red I chose isn't the brightest of reds; however, I was thinking of a red that you could wear to the office without going overboard.  (Also ignore that dry patch on my lip!)

I started with the new Rimmel Moisture Renew universal transparent lip liner and lined my lips and filled them in with it.  Next I took the Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Merlot.  It is such a pretty red!  If you can't find the Rimmel lip liner I would suggest the Sephora universal lip liner  or the No Cosmetics - No Bleeding Lip Liner.

As for blush I wanted to stay a little more on the bronze side of the spectrum so I chose the LA Colors blush in Toast and bronzed my face with the NYC Sunny Bronzer.  I found my blush from Dollar Tree; however, if you can't find it I would suggest the CoverGirl Cheekers Blush in Cinnamon Toast

So how's that for a simple wearable Fall makeup look with a red lip that you can easily pull off for work!
