Empties August 2014

by - August 23, 2014

Hey guys!

I'm terribly sorry it has been a while since the last post on here, but we have been insanely busy.  But since my last empties post I have been using up a ton of products that I want to share!

First up are some of the bath products I used up.  On the left is a travel size of a TRESemme conditioner that I picked up from Wal-Mart for a dollar.  This has been my go to travel conditioner for a long time so I will wind up repurchasing it many more times.  Next to that is the Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub in Coconut Lime.  I really loved this sugar scrub after I shaved my legs.  It made them feel extra smooth for much longer than just shaving.  The scent of this sugar scrub was wonderful as well and perfect for the summer.  Next is the L'Oreal Power Moisture Mask.  If you read my previous empties post, you will know that I have used up another one of these.  It works well for my hair especially the really dry frizzy patch in the back of my hair so I will repurchase this soon I'm sure.  The last item in this picture is the Herbal Essences conditioner from the Shine Collection.  This conditioner has been a go to for me for many years.  I love the scent and it conditions my hair well not to mention it doesn't cost much.

On the left is the Oxy Daily Defense Cleansing Pads.  I have actually gone through two of these since my previous post and as I have previously stated, I will continue using these since it is the only product I have found that really takes care of my acne.  Next to that is the Dickinson's Witch Hazel Cleansing Towelettes.  I found these at CVS for a dollar during their big sale.  It worked well, but I won't buy the towelette form for a while since I went through the pack so fast.  Next is the Walgreens Oil-Free Acne Wash which is the same as the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash.  This is a great face wash that leaves my skin clean but a little dry.  If you have really dry skin I don't think you would enjoy this product much.

Next is the Tone Daily Detox body wash with White Clay and Pink Jasmine.  This body wash is fantastic and it smells really good.   The scent isn't too overpowering which is nice and the best part is you won't break the bank buying this body wash.

Next is the Formula 10.0.6 Seriously Shine Free Moisturizer.  This moisturizer is a mattifying oil-free moisturizer with aloe vera and bamboo.  Trust me this moisturizer smells terrible but if you can stand the smell is well worth it if you have oily skin.  I have already picked up a new tube from Ulta and plan on buying it for the foreseeable future.  Next is the Mario Badescu Special Cleansing Lotion C, this was a sample size that came in my Mario Badescu kit.  If you want to try their products out yourself just visit the website and take a short quiz.  I liked this product but I don't plan on purchasing it.  Next is the Mario Badescu Aloe Moisturizer.  I really liked this moisturizer for night time it wasn't overly oily and it left my skin moisturized in the morning.  Next is the L'Oreal youth Code Texture Perfecter Serum.  This product is not amazing for the money and I don't plan on repurchasing it.  I didn't feel that it did anything for my skin I still had the same uneven skin tone I had when I finished the bottle.

On the left is the E.L.F. Makeup Mist and Set.  This was an ok makeup setting spray for the money; however, I don't think I will repurchase because the spray wasn't fine and I felt that it would mess my makeup up a bit.  Next is a Sonia Kashuk primer from Target.  I honestly have no idea how old this was so I was a little scared to finish it off.  I remember not liking it much when I did use it so I obviously will not repurchase.  Next is the Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer and I loved this primer so much that I cut the top off to scoop out every bit I could.  The combination of this primer and the Formula 10.0.6 Moisturizer kept me matte for longer than any other combination I have tried.

On the left is the Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy lotion in Honey Vanilla Dream.  This was a great lotion that I kept in my purse and I would love to pick up another one of these.  Next is the Bath and Body Works Morocco Orchid and Pink Amber perfume.  When I picked this up they only had the small size because it was being released on Mother's Day, and I really loved the scent.  Next is the Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder in Naturally Neutral.  I actually took this entire container and mixed it with about a third of the L.A. Color Cosmetics Loose Powder in Light to make a powder that is similar to the Ben Nye Banana Powder.   The combination of these powders I use to set my under eye concealer.

Next I went through my mascara drawer and cleaned it out so on the left is the Almay One Coat Thickening Mascara in black.  This mascara was no where near empty, but I have no idea how old it is so it had to go.  Next is the Clinique High Impact Mascara in black this one is actually empty and I really loved this mascara and would consider purchasing it again.  Next is a sample of the Blinc Mascara.  If you haven't heard of this mascara you should do some research on it.  Basically it forms water resistant tubes around your lashes and it comes off easily at the end of the day.  I really enjoyed this mascara and would purchase in the future.  Next is the CK One mascara that I got as a birthday gift from Ulta this year.  This mascara wasn't really close to empty, but the piece that scrapes off the excess mascara on the brush popped off and got stuck in the cap so I decided it was time to toss it.  Not to mention it was old.

On the left is the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 15.  I loved this concealer for covering blemishes and even for under my eyes.  I didn't feel that it creased and it was just the right color.  Next is the Revlon Illuminance Cream Eye Shadow palette in Twilight.  I picked this up in high school so it was time for it to go.

Next is the Physicians Formula Youthful Wear powder foundation in creamy natural.  This is the second compact I have purchased and I am working on my third already.  I really like this powder because it wears well and doesn't look extremely powdery.

Finally the last empty I have is a pack of Equate Makeup Removing wipes.  I can't remember which ones these are compared to, but I really liked them.  They were just wet enough to actually take my makeup off.  They didn't dry my eyes out like the ones in the green pack did and I would purchase these again.

Alright that's all I have for you this time around.  Be sure to look for a couple posts from me next week!  Also tonight on ABC at 7:30 PM Eastern time the NASCAR Sprint Cup Race will be from my favorite track, Bristol, so be sure to tune into that.  If y'all want to see previous posts about the wonderful Bristol Motor Speedway you can see them here and here.

Also let me know if you want to see more posts about racing.  I enjoy sharing my passions with others!
