Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask Review
Hey guys!
I have another review of a Valentia product to share with you guys today! If you have been around for any period of time, you know that I have reviewed several other Valentia products which I will provide links to at the end of this post. Overall I have had a really great experience with the brand, and my experience with this particular mask was no different! I was extremely excited to have the opportunity to review the new Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask from the brand since I have particularly oily skin. I also have quite large pores due to the excess oil my face naturally produces so I really like masks like this one.
The Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask is actually a pretty thin consistency compared to other clay masks in my collection; however, this one contains some particles in the mask itself that do a wonderful job of exfoliating the face as you remove the mask. Much like several of the other masks in my collection, this one has quite an intense tingle (nearly burning) sensation after you apply it to the face. If you are uncomfortable with that type of feeling, this might not be for you; however, I really enjoy that sensation because I can feel the mask tightening on my face and really providing that deep clean that I need. The tingling sensation that the Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask provides is much less intense than the Borghese mud masks that I have in my collection, and I find that I have been reaching for this particular mask during the week as I need a touch up to my skin while on the weekends I find that I need that deeper clean and I will reach for the Borghese masks.
According to Valentia the Skin Detoxifying Clay mask will remove excess dirt and oil from the skin. The product itself contains Kaolin Clay which will help pull the dirt and oil to the skin's surface. The mask also contains Hibiscus and Cranberry fibers which provide the exfoliation in the mask which will leave the skin looking smoother and softer. Valentia claims that the maks will reverse and clear away skin damage leaving you with healthier skin.
This mask much like the Ultra Plumping Hydration mask I reviewed several weeks ago smells just like SweetTarts candy which I find quite refreshing and relaxing while it dries on my face. Also unlike the Borghese mud masks I keep mentioning, this mask doesn't dry extremely tight so I tend to forget I have this mask on as I meander through the house. Valentia states that you only need to leave the mask on for 15 to 20 minutes per use; however, I find that I end up forgetting that I have it on and tend to remove it somewhere after the thirty minute mark. The mask itself is very easy to remove without tons of harsh rubbing and scrubbing. I typically will wet a washcloth with warm water and lay it over my face to remoisten the mask before I start rubbing that way I don't rub too intensely.
Overall, I highly recommend this mask and it is my favorite product I have tried from Valentia thus far. If you guys are interested the Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask retails for $25 on the Valentia website for 4 fl. oz. of product which the brand claims is a five month supply. Also Valentia is having a Spring Refresh Sale and is offering 35% off all purchases all you have to do is enter the code REFRESH35 at checkout now through May 31st! You can also purchase the mask on Amazon for the same price.
