This is not the post I had originally planned on posting today, but my camera died on me right in the middle of taking pictures so you will just have to wait a couple more days to see that post.

Anyway I am bringing you my review of the Cleopatra's Choice 100% Pure African Shea Butter which can be found here.  I have been using this product for about two weeks now and I have to say that I really enjoy it.  When I first opened it, the scent was very overpowering but I feel that I have really gotten used to it.  Typically I only use it on my legs at night before I go to bed because it does not absorb as quickly as a typical lotion would.  With all that said it is really great for my dry feet (TMI right?).


The company claims that this product is deep absorbing for long lasting hydration, and it does not clog pores or leave the skin greasy.   The company also claims that it is good for preventing wrinkles by keeping the facial skin moisturized and can be used as a lip balm.  I can't say that I have put this product on my face simply because I have extremely acne prone skin; therefore, I don't want to aggravate it by putting an oily type moisturizer on my face.  Finally the company says that shea butter is "legendary for treatment of dry skin, minor burns, and Eczema."  And I can certainly say that it is wonderful for dry skin.

As you can see the consistency of the shea butter is a solid and to use all you have to do is scoop a tiny amount out.  I typically rub it between my hands to melt it a bit before spreading it on my legs.  As I said previously I use it as a night time moisturizer for my legs and feet and I feel that it will be really useful in the winter when my legs get dreadfully dry.
