Penny Covered Vase
Hello again everyone!
Today I am bringing you a DIY project I saw on Pinterest that I thought would be a wonderful addition for fall. The Penny Covered Vase, what could it hurt covering a vase with pennies, it's rare that I use cash and even when I do I hardly ever want to dig the pennies out.
The things you are going to need are: a vase, pennies and lots of them, a hot glue gun, black paint, and some flowers to go in the vase.
I started at the bottom of the vase and just simply glued the pennies in rows circling the vase going toward the top. Looking back the first step you should probably take is to paint the inside of the vase black because I was having problems with pennies falling off while I was trying to get the paint on. If you are using a vase that isn't clear to begin with you are going to need to paint the outside as your first step anyway. The black just makes the pennies pop more, so I suggest that you do paint it black, because originally I wasn't going to do this and the vase was just lacking something, and I was ready to give up on it.
Keep gluing all the way to the top, just enjoy whatever is on TV and take your time it will really be worth it in the end.
Like I said you should paint the vase as your first step, it will make life much easier unless you don't mind re-gluing a bunch of pennies.
