Fairmount Beauty

Hello again, loves!

Welcome back to the blog!  It's time to go through some of the latest makeup releases and see what is interesting!

The first products I am seeing are the Halloween collections that are releasing for this year, and a few of them look really fun!  The first collection I want to mention is the Colourpop x Disney Hocus Pocus collection.   This is the second Hocus Pocus collection from Colourpop, and this one released on September 22 on colourpop.com.

Full collcection is $99, or the PR pack is $103.

The next Halloween collection is the Makeup Revolution and Beetlejuice collection.   This collection looks like a bit of a mess, but the big palette in the collection looked interesting.   The large palette contains 16 eyeshadows of mostly purples and greens in a gorgeous black and white striped package.

The Beetlejuice collection released on September 23rd on the Makeup Revolution website soon.

The Beetlejuice collection contains:
  • It's Showtime Shadow Palette - 16 pan palette - $15
  • Strange and Unusual Shadow Palette - 9 pan palette - $10

  • Recently Deceased Highlighter Palette - 3 pan palette - $8

    • Barbara
    • Adam
  • Strange and Unusual Mascara - green - $7
  • Say My Name Eyeliner - $8
  • Eyeliner Set (5 shades) - $10
The collection will also contain a mirror, a cosmetic bag, makeup brushes, a sponge, fake nails, and some lashes.

KimChi Chic has released a gorgeous palette that is full of pastel shades of the rainbow.   The Holy Fairytale Palette consists of 40 shades and retails for $40 on the KimChiChicBeauty website.  The palette seems to contain a at least 10 shimmer shades and the rest of the palette appears to be all matte shadows.   At first glance it looks like there is a decent array of colors that can be combined into different colorful looks; however, there could be some shades in this palette that will look very similar when applied to the skin.

The 2022 Holiday Collection by MAC Cosmetics is available on all retailers.   The collection contains a gorgeous 12 piece lip vault that has caught my eye along with two six pan eye palettes and the traditional Extra Dimension Skinfinish in special edition pink and gold packaging.

The MAC Holiday Collection contains:
  • Brush with Fate - Brush Essentials Kit - $50
    • Two face brushes
    • Two double sided eye brushes

    • Shocking Revelation
    • Bow With The Flow
    • Burst On The Scene
  • Indulgent Glow Face Kits (2 versions) - $44
Urban Decay has released a new Naked palette in collaboration with illustrator Robin Eisenberg which is inspired by the sunsets and colors of California.  This palette is in the traditional Naked Palette format of 12 shades with a double sided eye brush.   It appears that this palette contains mostly shimmers and metallic eyeshadows, so you may find that you need to pull out multiple palettes to create a complete eye look.

The Naked x Robin Eisenberg Eyeshadow Palette is available on Urban Decay's website for $54

The 12 shades of the palette are:
  • Moonsand - ivory satin
  • Solar Storm - soft taupe matte
  • Pulsar - nude to pink
  • Ion - bronze glitter
  • Mango Sun - coral matte
  • Exoplanet - cranberry-red glitter
  • Foxfire - brick red matte
  • Holidaze - muted burgundy-red glitter
  • Home Planet - bright periwinkle matte
  • Ice Crater - deep blue to purple
  • Alien Babe - navy blue glitter
  • Space Pod - dark teal-green glitter
Pleasing has released a collaboration with Brazilian fashion designer Marco Ribeiro.   This is the first time the brand has released makeup, which is notable.   However, I have to mention that I really hate the layout of the palette in this collection.   In my opinion it is a palette designed by someone who does not wear makeup themselves, not to mention the layout leaves so much room for more products in the tin.  However, the nail polishes will probably make their way into my collection at some point!

The Pleasing x Marco Ribeiro collection is available on the Pleasing website.

The collection contains:
  • Pressed Powder Palette (8 shades for face and eyes) - $50
  • Universal Cream Pigments (3 shades) - $40
  • Gloss Medium - $25
  • Incrivel Marrom Fosco Polish (single polish - brown) - $20
  • Pleasing x Marco Ribeiro polish set - $65
    • Aura Laranja Gelatina - vibrant orange jelly
    • Oceano Agua-Marinha Cremoso - glossy aquamarine creme

    • Citrico Vibrante Cremoso - vibrant neon green matte
    • Borgonha Acai Cremoso - glossy burgundy creme
What new releases do you have your eye on this week?

All the love,
Pam

 Hello again, loves!

Welcome back to the blog!  We have finally gotten moved into a new house and we are mostly settled, so I'm hoping to actually be able to pick back up with my blogs.   To ease back into posting I am going to run through some of the new releases and see what I find interesting.

The first thing that jumped out at me is the new collection from Jaclyn Cosmetics.   He has collaborated with her mother to bring out a gorgeous Mother's Day collection with an eyeshadow palette that I find to be interesting.   It's loaded with some lighter pinks and creams that seem a bit redundant; however, I love the greens and taupes.   While the packaging is sweet with a photo of Jaclyn and her mom, I personally would prefer to have it without their photo.

The 'Dear Mom Eyeshadow Palette' contains 20 eyeshadows for $49 and can be purchased from Jaclyn Cosmetics website for the special Mother's  Day packaging or from Ulta as the Luxe Legacy Eyeshadow palette in the standard Jaclyn Cosmetics packaging.

It also looks like the collection contains:
  • The First Base Eyeshadow Primer - $20
  • 5 shades of the In Line Eyeliner Pencil - $18 each
  • The All Set Setting Spray - $28
  • 6 shades of the Powder Move Loose Setting Powder - $30 each
  • 4 shades of the Poutspoken Liquid Lipstick - $20 each
  • 4 matching shades of the Poutspoken Lip Liner - $18 each
The next thing of interest is the Colourpop Winnie the Pooh collection.   The packaging on the eyeshadow palette is just irresistible, and the eyeshadow colors are adorable but pretty common to Colourpop palettes.

It appears that this collection contains:

  • The Sweet as can Bee eyeshadow palette - $18  for 10 eyeshadows
  • 3 shades of super shock highlighters - $10 each or $27 for the set
    • Silly Old Bear - light yellow gold
    • 100 Aker Wood - medium gold
    • Mind over Matter  - honey bronze
  • Just a taste of Hunny lux gloss kit - $27 for a set of three glosses
    • Clover Hunny - Warm Nude
    • Wildflower Hunny - Burnt Honey
    • Dandelion Hunny - Warm Chocolate (also available as a single)

Also from Colourpop is the new Star Wars collection launching on May the 4th.  This collection looks pretty boring to me, but if you are a Star Wars fan it might be worth picking up for the outer packaging at the very least.   The colors in the eyeshadow palette are mostly browns and taupes with a few pops of red and blue and of course the standard black eyeshadow.   It looks like there are two interesting marbled shadows in the corners of the palette, but the rest of the eyeshadows appear to be others that can be found in prior palettes.

According to Colourpop, the Star Wars collection includes:

  • The Star Wars 15 pan palette
  • 2 shades of graphic ink liners - it appears to be a purple and a golden bronze
  • 2 shades of Jelly Much eyeshadows - one appears to be a light gold, and the other a light blue silver
  • 2 shades of the Lux Gloss - it appears to be a pink and a purple
  • 3 shades of the Lux Creme Lipsticks - one appears to be a warm tan nude, a medium pinky red, and a deep berry.
More photos will come out from the brand in the next few days along side more swatches so check out our new Instagram page (FairmountBeauty_News) and of course the brand's Instagram page and website.

If you are into green and yellow eyeshadows, Plouise Makeup Academy has an eyeshadow palette or maybe palettes coming that will have you covered!  There doesn't seem to be a release date or a name for the palette(s) yet, so keep an eye on our Instagram for more information!  If the palette is similar to another palette in the brand's Instagram feed, this photo contains two palettes and they will be 21 shades each.   Of what appears to be two palettes I am more interested in the palette on the left with the more olive greens and yellow eyeshadows.

There are a couple of palettes that have caught my attention from a brand that I haven't heard of before, Simply Posh Cosmetics.   It looks like they are releasing the Fairytale Fairies palette this June, so keep an eye out for more photos.   At the moment we only have a picture of the outer packaging; however, if the colors inside match the outer packaging it is going to be gorgeous!  According to the brand's Instagram post this will be their first magnetic palette and a new eyeshadow formula.

A slightly older release from Simply Posh Cosmetics is the Picking Peonies eyeshadow palette.   I just love this color story and the way the left side of the palette seems to be laid out with the pinks and other shades that coordinate well with pink on the left side of the palette and the greens and browns on the right.   I do wish there were some lighter pinks in the palette to go along with the peony theme.   This palette is an 18 pan palette for $35 from the brand's website.   Based on the shape of the Fairytale Fairies palette I would guess that it is also going to be an 18 pan palette at $35 when it releases.

In a quick mention it appears that Too Faced is releasing a "Better Than Chocolate" collectio in July so more photos and swatches will be coming soon.   It appears that the collection will include and eyeshadow palette, 8 Cocoa Bold Lipsticks in varying shades of nude with a white chocolate and raspberry fragrance, a chocolate lip injection gloss, and an easy glide waterproof liquid liner in a chocolate brown shade.   The eyeshadow palette appears to be mostly browns with a gold, purple, and a blue eyeshadow.   If you want to see a video, Trendmood has a video of the products with a few swatches on her Instagram now.

As for some face products, L.A. Girl Cosmetics has released six Soft Matte Cream Blushes.   According to a video on Trendmood's Instagram it appears that these are quite pigmented so a little bit will go a long way.   It also appears that these will sheer out nicely to use as a blush.   The product is in a small squeeze tube that has a small tip on it so you won't get too much product out of the tube at once.   The six shades of blush are below:
  • Cutie - warm peach
  • Rosebud - soft rose pink
  • Grace - nude
  • Blissful - terracotta orange
  • Kiss Up - medium pink
  • Hot Shot - pinky red
There also appears to be a lip oil trio available from Kylie Skin in the flavors, Passion Fruit, Pomegranate, and Strawberry.  The formula claims to be non sticky and hydrating which leaves the lips looking smooth and plump.  This appears to only be available as a trio for $45 from the Kylie Cosmetics website.

What new releases do you have your eye on this week?

All the love,
Pam
