Kiss InstaWave Automatic Curler Review and Demo
Hey guys,
Today I am reviewing the Kiss InstaWave Automatic Curler. This was sent to me through a campaign with BrandBacker and Kiss, and I have to say that I was really excited to try it out. Once the box arrived I immediately ripped the box open and started to use it. My hair is naturally wavy and really thick. I have recently cut most of it off so it's now at my shoulders and in the past it was down to my ribs. I was disappointed with how difficult it was to use with my short hair.
Every time I put the hair I wanted to curl behind the clip and started to rotate the barrel the other clips would grab pieces of hair that I didn't want curled. It was also difficult to get the hair on the back of my head because my hair is shorter in the back than it is in the front right now.
Overall, if you have longer hair than I do you will probably like the curls that this curler gives, and it will likely be easier to use.
Kiss InstaWave Features |
Kiss suggests to alternate curling left and right to create the most natural looking curls.
Below is what the KissInstawave website says about their product:
In my demo below you will see me curl half of my hair using the Kiss InstaWave and I decided to curl the other half of my hair using my normal method. Normally I use a Remington tapered curling wand and it will take me about twenty minutes to curl my entire head. The InstaWave ended up taking me about twenty minutes to curl half of my head.
- Fully automatic, tangle-free curler
- Innovative design lets you curl from any position using either hand
- Curl Dial makes it simple to switch between left and right curl directions
- Ceramic Ionic Technology protects hair for healthy, shiny results
- Two heat settings with maximum temperature of 420° F
- Auto shutoff after 90 minutes for added safety
- Patent Pending
Now I know that the two types of wands produce different types of curls. I was simply trying to compare the time it takes me to curl my hair. Now that I have watched the video, once I got the hang of this wand it seemed to turn out ok. I'll give it a few more tries and update you guys later!
Product mentioned was sent to me to review by BrandBacker and the brand. All opinions are 100% my own!

Your hair looks great. I like how honest you are in your review. How well do you think this curler would work on fine hair?
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think it would work really well on fine hair and I think you would be able to achieve great looking curls in a really short time using the InstaWave. Depending on how easily your hair holds curls you could probably just use the low heat setting on it as well.
