Updates

Hello everyone,

It has been a while, honestly it has been a crazy month for me.  Second off I want to share that I recently volunteered at Victory Junction, a wonderful camp founded by the Petty family in honor of Kyle Petty's son, Adam.  This is the second time I have volunteered at the camp and it was just as great this time as it was the first.

Truly an amazing place, if you want more information about the camp or pictures you can visit their website here.  (Not an advertisement for them nor am I telling you to donate to them, I am just spouting about how much this place really means to me.)

Anyway on to what this post is really about, I am going to give you a few updates on some products I have been using recently and updates on some previous mentions.

First up remember the Vivo Per Lei facial peel which can be seen in this post.  I have tried using it several times, and to be honest it makes my skin feel nice for a couple hours but then it goes right back to what it was prior to using the product.  I haven't seen any real benefit to using it (certainly doesn't help my acne) but I didn't expect much from the product.

Second off, I purchased a set of three bottles that were part of an acne treatment set.  It was from Wal-Mart, so I didn't have high hopes, and claimed to be comparable to Proativ.  Let me tell you, nothing really compares to Proactiv in my opinion.  I had such good luck with the stuff in high school, so I decided to try this since Proactiv is out of my budget right now.  There are many reviews of this product saying that a lot of people had good luck with it, but I just didn't.  I used the product for about two weeks morning and night and it just didn't do anything for me.  It didn't change the state of my acne, it didn't make it worse, nor did it make it better.   However, I think I just have some crazy skin.  If you want to purchase this product it is $12, so I don't really regret buying this even if it didn't work for me.

This next product is one I really love, it's Sephora's waterproof eye makeup remover.  Really amazing stuff, I have always had problems getting my eye makeup off no matter if it was waterproof or not and this stuff gets it off.  If you want to buy it here or in store it is only $10.50! Really worth the 10.50 in my book.

My next update is Origins Clear Improvements mask.  This is an active charcoal mask and it smells amazing.  Don't be scared of it like I was when I first saw it.  It scared the daylights out of me! Honestly who wants to put something on their face that is that crazy looking?  Well, luckily for me there are many other women who have tried it long before I had and had graciously shared their opinions, and most of them had great reviews of the product.  So out of curiosity,  I bought it myself for $24 from Sephora, and it has been wonderful.   Man it tightens up on your face when it dries and it does smell nice, I really would buy it again even though it is a little pricey.

Finally the last update is going to be a home product.  These wax melts like Scentsy have gotten really popular lately it seems and I ran across a Glade version at the grocery store and decided to try it.  After all I really like the wax melter; however, the Glade wax melts are another story.  I bought them in the scent Apple Cinnamon and while I do love the scent these have, they are very strong and the scent doesn't last more than a couple of days.  But the melter is well worth the money, isn't it cute?
