What's New in Makeup and Beauty | November 3, 2019
Hello everyone! I want to take a quick second and welcome you to the newly renamed and revamped site. If you have been around for a long time, you will know that my name is Pam and that I started this blog back in 2013 as a hobby while I was making my way through college. In the past I have shared some crafty adventures, a few posts about my houses and mostly focused my attention on makeup and panning my collection.
I am here to say that I have decided to focus my attention on makeup and beauty, and share my thoughts on new releases. I will still focus on panning projects, and posts but I will also be sharing swatches and building a library of products I have in my own personal collection. My hope is that I will be able to add some comparisons through this process and create a place to go if you want to "dupe" items releasing.

With all of that out of the way, let's get into the items I have found interesting. The first item on the list is the Londons Calling palette by Makeup Obsession. If you are interested in this ten pan palette you can find it on the Revolution Beauty website for $10 now. The ten pan palette is quite interesting, and reminds me a bit of the Urban Decay Afterdark palette. In all honesty it is likely just the placement of the dark green and blue on the bottom row; however, the shades are definitely different. The only shade that I really cringe at in this palette is Kensington which appears to be a bright neon coral and everything else in the palette seems to be rather muted and ready for fall.
I want to quickly mention that Zoeva Cosmetics has released a foundation line that consists of 44 shades on their website on September 2nd and all Zoeva retailers on September 9. I am not extremely familiar with the brand; however, from a quick browse of their website this appears to be their first foundation type of product. They have a few liquid highlighters on their website at the moment for $22, so I would imagine that this foundation will also be in the midrange for pricing.

The big news and the least surprising thing is Urban Decay's latest addition to the Naked range. The Naked Honey palette released in September and contains the usual 12 pans of eyeshadows. The palette is in the new upgraded packaging like the Naked Heat, Naked Cherry, and Naked Reloaded palettes, and contains all honey toned shades. The palette is gorgeous and full of those warm browns, bronzes, and golds that I tend to reach for every single day, and I'm going to have to try my best to resist buying! The other Naked palettes in Urban Decay's line retail for $54 at all the retailers, so I would anticipate the same for this palette.

The next palette I want to talk briefly about is the Anastasia Beverly Hills x Jackie Aina palette. This palette definitely seems to be a controversial palette in the community; however, I personally haven't watched Jackie so I cannot speak on any of those issues. I am going to strictly speak my opinions of the palette itself, and I have to say that I am underwhelmed. The palette is a huge mix of previous palettes by ABH, so if you own more than one of their palettes you will have these shades. The shade names are not exactly the same as the previous releases by ABH; however, you can see there are the typical warm brown that is in nearly every ABH palette, and the oranges of the Modern Renaissance palette, the purples of the Norvina palette, and so on. The other colors in the palette look like they are a rose gold, a couple bronzes, a gold, and a duochrome green brown shadow. All of these I have in various ABH palettes, or other shadows through my collection. With all of that said, I will be skipping out on this palette, but if you are interested it is out everywhere ABH is sold for $45.
Also from Anastasia Beverly Hills, there are new loose highlighters in five shades for $25.

- Snowflake - metallic silver
- So Hollywood - metallic gold
- Sunset Aura - rose gold
- Vegas - radiant gold
- Peach Fizz - coral gold
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation has been released in 50 shades and according to the Sephora website, the foundation is paraben free, mineral oil free, vegan, gluten free, and cruelty free. Overall, it looks like the foundation comes in a decent array of shades; however, I will definitely be skipping over this foundation. I am an oily skinned girl, and I definitely don't need any help in the "luminous" department!
Other foundations that have been released recently are the Fenty Pro Filt'r hydrating foundation and the Kevin Aucoin foundation balm. The Fenty foundation comes in a tube with a pump at the top, similar to the It Cosmetics cc cream, and the Kevin Aucoin foundation of course comes in a pot. The Fenty foundation comes in 50 shades for $35, and the Kevin Aucoin foundation comes in 20 shades for $52.

The Norvina Mini Pro Piment Palettes are $29 each on the Sephora website, and the large palettes are $60 each.

One of the bigger news items is that Tati Westbrook has officially launched her own makeup line (like everyone expected when Halo Beauty was launched). The first product in her makeup line is a 24 pan eyeshadow palette. The Textured Neutrals Vol 1 palette is an interesting release. The idea is that there are six shades in four different finishes. The four finishes are glitter, metallic, sequin, and matte and the palette is $48 on the Tati Beauty website. The palette is currently sold out, but you can preorder now and it will ship out on December 15th. Honestly, I am tempted to buy this one, but having four pans of a dark grey/ black shadow just isn't something that I need.
I'm going to stop there on this post. I know that a lot of the items I mentioned released a while ago, but I am going to work on getting more consistent with these posts. Hopefully we can make it through the holiday season in one piece! What new releases are you excited for?
All the love,
Pam
